my constant audience

Call me naïve, but before becoming a mother, I didn’t realize how much I would be watched. I didn’t know how weighty and amazing the responsibility of mothering truly was. I didn’t realize how almost every decision I made and action I took would directly affect my girls!

It takes continual surrender to the Holy Spirit for me to navigate these very unpredictable waters of day-to-day motherhood. It also takes listening to advice and wisdom from other moms who have more experience than I do.

I’m learning, I’m growing, and this is the most exciting journey I’ve ever been on. And even if the next few years still find me sitting on the toilet – door wide open with an audience watching me, I wouldn’t trade a single moment.

Lately…

My days have been rather full recently leaving me little time to write here!

New content will be coming soon though! Thank you all for reading and supporting this little venture💛.

In the meantime, here’s a photo of my favorites!

Day In The Life: Rhode Island

My family and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Rhode Island last week. We didn’t have any set plans but knew that we wanted to go to a zoo we had visited last year – Roger Williams Park Zoo. We had the best time! Auden’s favorite part was seeing a camel “pooping little balls of poop out” hah! and Joona was absolutely riveted by the elephants and seals she saw! One of my favorite parts of our day was when we got caught in the most torrential of downpours while running to our car. Auden wasn’t too thrilled by that experience but it was soul-freeing for me. After the zoo, we stopped at a little hole-in-the-wall taco joint for lunch. The rest of the afternoon included a coffee shop (BOLT coffee was closed for the day unfortunately), exploring downtown, and a scenic drive home. I love unexpected days like these!

Happy Monday!✨
